Another sketch I did in the summer. I regret not doing this on proper watercolor paper, but I didn’t think it would get as far as it did. I had used a multi-media sketchbook, which is great for everything including one light wash of watercolor. But anything more will cause the paper to buckle.
I’m still using my cheap $5 paint set, and after looking at a couple of Youtube watercolor tutorials, mine in comparison are definitely on the chalky side. They get the job done if you’re just experimenting, but I feel ready to move forward to a richer, more opaque set.
